Emily’s Garden is a wine bar and all-day cafe tucked along SW 2nd Street in the Himmarshee district, a short walk from the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the Riverwalk. The space leans into an eclectic, collected feel, guests notice that no two tables share the same set of chairs, and the result is a room that reads cozy without feeling cluttered. A well-designed outdoor patio adds breathing room on busy nights and welcomes dogs.
The wine list is the headline, with tasting flights paired alongside charcuterie boards that regulars call a standout value. Beyond the pours, the kitchen runs from morning through late evening: fresh-squeezed orange juice and crafted coffees at breakfast, savory French toast and salmon-spread house bread at brunch, wood-fired pizzas (including gluten-free crusts) at dinner. Small plates like eggplant bites surface during happy hour, and comfort-food staples such as a classic burger hold their own against the lighter options.
Service comes up constantly in the reviews. Staff members are called out by name, Yamila for her menu knowledge, Angela for handling a packed Valentine’s Day, Claudia the GM and Davis the manager for keeping the whole operation warm and unhurried. Groups report feeling genuinely welcome rather than shuffled through, and solo diners find the atmosphere easy to settle into alone.
The crowd is broad by design: families with kids finishing entire pizzas, couples on date nights, tourist groups storing luggage before a museum visit, and LGBTQ+ guests who note the space as explicitly welcoming. Doors open at 8 AM daily, with Friday and Saturday service stretching to midnight for late-night wine and live music. Street parking sits right around the corner, and reservations are accepted for anyone planning ahead.

Such a great place! We have come a few times during our visit to Fort Lauderdale area and loved the food, drinks, service and vibe each time. We even stored our luggage here killing some time waiting for a flight after a cruise.

This place is a close walk to Sailboat bend. Good coffee, great smoothies! You have to go inside the Garden to reach the On the Go coffee cart, but you can sip and sit and enjoy! Yamila was our server and did an excellent job, will be back again !
